Snickerdoodle Cookies
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 cup butter, softened
2 eggs
2 3/4 cups flour
2 t. cream of tartar
1 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt
1/4 cup sugar
2 t. cinnamon
Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees. Cream the 1 1/2 cups sugar, butter and eggs in a large bowl. In another bowl, mix flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Add flour mixture to creamed mixture. Mix remaining sugar and cinnamon in small bowl. Shape dough into 1 inch balls and roll them in cinnamon & sugar. Place 2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
