oven fries

I love fried things, so it's no surprise that I love french fries. Sometimes I really crave french fries, but I also try to avoid drive-thrus at all costs. Enter oven fries.

Ingredients:

3 potatoes, cut into wedges
1/4 cup canola oil
coarse salt & ground pepper

Directions:

Heat your oven to 475. Soak potatoes in hot water for 20-30 minutes. Pour the oil onto a rimmed baking sheet, spreading it evenly. Sprinkle s&p over the oil. Drain the potatoes and pat dry. Arrange the potatoes onto the baking sheet, turning them a few times so they get coated with the oil. Bake for about 20 minutes, longer if you like crispy fries.

Even though these are baked, they hit the spot. Trust me.
